Interest Meeting on Argument Writing Saturday, October 16, 2021
Register here for this interest meeting to experience sample argument writing lessons created from the free resources provided by the National Writing Project’s College, Career, and Community Writer’s Program (C3WP).
A small fee ($10) is required for this mini workshop. After registration, you will be provided a Zoom link to attend the live session from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. on October 16.
Developed through an i3 grant, C3WP resources are available online (https://sites.google.com/nwp.org/c3wp/home). An extensive study proved teachers trained in using these resources to teach argument writing had a positive effect size on their students’ learning. You can read the SRI study here: sri-crwp-research-brief_nov-2015-final The October 16 workshop offers a preview of the professional development course in argument writing in grades 5-12 that will be offered spring 2022.
